A wall mirror is the cheapest way to make a small or dark room feel bigger, which is why they earn their place in hallways, rentals and apartments. Ours are framed by hand in carved timber, cane and metal, so the frame is a feature rather than an afterthought.
Hang it opposite or perpendicular to a window and it doubles the daylight; hang it facing a blank wall and it reflects a blank wall. Centre height is usually around one hundred and fifty five centimetres from the floor. Heavy framed mirrors need a proper wall anchor, not a picture hook.
