Serving Platters & Trays

Platters and trays are the workhorses of hosting. A good one carries drinks from the kitchen, then becomes the grazing board, then sits on the ottoman holding the remotes for the rest of the week. Ours are cut from mango wood, acacia, marble and ceramic.

Buy bigger than feels sensible. A thirty centimetre board looks generous for two people and cramped for six. Timber pieces want a wipe rather than a soak, and a coat of food-grade mineral oil once a season keeps the grain from drying pale and rough.
